Think Pink 2009

The girls and I (minus Maggie) hit the road to take part in the Ga Tech 2009 Think Pink game in memory of Kay Yow and breast cancer awareness. Maggie was in Jasper, GA taking part in her last Sharptop trip with Young Life. Her sister, Molly, made sure she knew she was missed by making a "name card" to hold her place in all the pictures. I am only posting about a third of the pictures Brittany and Molly took. They are hilarious.

We met Marcia and Doug and of course, Angie at the game and had a great time together.
Ga Tech won, beating NC State...kind of bittersweet actually. My heart sure goes out to all those players. I know they miss Coach Yow. MaChelle summed it up well at the end of the game when she thanked all the fans for supporting the Think Pink game which is "about so much more than any score or winning or losing." Kay Yow certainly did not lose the fight as she would tell you, she is in a much better place now. Coach Yow was the perfect model of a lady fighting this disease with dignity, strength and great faith to the end. We all hope to be just as strong when it is our turn.

Thanks to Uncle Tommy, we can't go to Atlanta anymore without eating wings at Taco Mac. They are so addictive and the best wings in the world. You'll see pictures there as well if you follow this link to the Picasa web album http://picasaweb.google.com/janareese/ThinkPink2009?authkey=bZb9HoXAPlU&feat=directlink
